This a qmail-scanner issue?

Ok I'm getting this in the logs now after updating qmail-scanner:
May 18 22:51:45 gz spamd[8578]: spamd: handle_user unable to find user: 'dbarker@bellafinancial.com'

both user and domain are valid, I did some searching and folks are reporting that it is how qmail-scanner is handleing this and not spamassassin yet no one seems to pose a solution. Is this a known bug or is this something I can fix?

Yes, but a good one. That is what lets you do per-user settings in it. Since you don't have that set up, its just failing safe.
