ASL 2.0 Payment

Hello,

i really think to buy the firewall ASL 2.x. Has this firewall any (D) or DOS Protection?

Yes, it includes mod_evasive for apache. From the mod_evasive description:

"mod_evasive is an evasive maneuvers module for Apache to provide evasive action in the event of an HTTP DoS or DDoS attack or brute force attack. It is also designed to be a detection and network management tool, and can be easily configured to talk to ipchains, firewalls, routers, and etcetera. mod_evasive presently reports abuses via email and syslog facilities. "

price around 80 €

so at this time i preparing a banktransfer to my paypal account! So how easy is it to install ASL? Any Tutorials out there? It is running with Red Hat 5 good enough?

Its all maintained with yum, the installer works like a lot of the other ones we've written:

wget -q -O - http://www.atomicorp.com/installers/asl |sh

Theres a wiki here: http://www.atomicorp.com/wiki/

And it has a support portal built into the web interface.

If i get a DOS Attack the IP will added to iptables?
If i get a script exploid or somthing so IP will added to iptables?

Yes, it will shun the attacker with a firewall rule, and add their IP to hosts.deny. You can either make that a permanent ban, or set it to expire after a fixed amount of time.

you only accepting credit cards? I want send you the money over paypal but there is no mail adress (they wan't credit card) so i cant buy :/ Why?

Dont you have an PayPal Account?

Its set up to take paypal, did it not go through for some reason?

I choose PAYPAL -> redirect to site PayPal with all details and now i need to login! -> ok i login -> NOW I must add credit card number (but i dont have a credit card)!!! I dont know why it doesnt work to send you the money over my paypal account to yours! I come from Germany so its €uro maybe this is a problem?

What now? I am interested in buying :P
