Plesk database in a backend server

Unread post by Danny »

Hi, i have two servers one with apache and plesk (frontend) and another with the database (backend)
I want to delete mysql from frontend server, where is the config file of plesk to change the configuration data and make that the database point to backend server ?

You can point domains to use a remote database server, but I don't think you can put the Plesk database on another machine.

The psa rpm requires mysql-server, so you cannot run Plesk on a server without MySQL.

Yes Breun this is true, but only when you install have the dependence, for example i make a empty rpm to simulate php, but i compile and install every version of php by hand. In this way plesk think that have php and the package only is necesary to config a new domain and can set the check of "php support" You know where is (if exist) the config file for the mysql psa database ?

Thanks a lot
