You can check http://www5.atomicorp.com/channels/sour ... celerator/ for what's exactly in -4.

I have -4 running on over 20 boxes now without any segfaults. However, I have one server here that immediately starts segfaulting when I install php-eaccelerator. (Even without eAccelerator this server is throwing 'zend_mm_heap corrupted' in the error_log from time to time, so this could be an unrelated problem.) :(

Unfortunately it seems to me that Scott has not compiled the latest version with the patch.
I there is any reason why? Your conclusion was only the doc-comment-inclusion parameter caused the problems.
Thanks

You could try building the package yourself and see if applying the patch solves your problem. Or convince Scott to apply it again. I'm not sure we tested that configuration. I believe our tests showed no problems without the patch applied so it was left out, but maybe we failed to trigger the problem that you're seeing.

Well I could try it, but I would prefer your way and the let Scott do it since he's an expert and I'm not.
The patch is going to be in eaccelerator 0.9.6.1 but it's only in the changeset now. It solves a problem
with php-cgi/fastcgi and segfaults. This segfault error is independent from the one caused by --with-eaccelerator-doc-comment-inclusion
Scott, would you build -5 just like -4 but with the fix1 you commented out in -4?
Thanks

Ah, I don't think we're using PHP via CGI or FastCGI, so that would explain why I haven't had any problems.

OK, thanks for the info. :(
I will wait till eaccelerator 0.9.6.1 comes out (where the patch is included) and atomic picks it up.
For now I will stay with 0.9.6-3.art version. -4 is segfaulting.

Hi All,
Held off updating php/eaccelerator due to the issues mentioned here and in this topic: http://www.atomicorp.com/forum/viewtopi ... =12&t=3926. Are the php 5.2.13-1 & php-eaccelerator 1:5.2.13_0.9.6-4 updates stable for NON-Fast/CGI systems? Any one experiencing any problems/segfaults still?
Thanks

php-eaccelerator 1:5.2.13_0.9.6-4 is not segfaulting on NON-Fast/CGI systems.
