Which is better for server - Fedora Core vs CentOS

Which (in your opinnion) is the better OS to use for Plesk or Server functionality,Cent OS or Fedora Core?

CentOS is better, because of Fedora's short-term life cycle between versions, and also has a much more stable code base.

Latest features, Fedora, most stable life-cycle CentOS. I use a mix of both myself.

Does your ASL offer an install of Cent-OS?

If so, please advise on it's location.

Yes, for both 3 and 4, I'm using the same format in ASL as I do in the ART archives. RHEL3/CentOS3 use "3ES", and RHEL4/CentOS4 use "4ES" in the yum.conf URL path.

Example:

baseurl=http://<username>:<password>@atomicorp. ... ls/asl/3ES

or

baseurl=http://<username>:<password>@atomicorp. ... ls/asl/4ES

I promise not to drive you mad with excess questions. Would it be possible to contact you via email on the changes you made to your 1and1 server that would aid us in putting our tests through the ringer.

We want to go long-term with ASL but are currently only testing everything on a test server.

Yeah its a little tricky on a 1and1 box, they meddle with the file system and the kernel in really bad ways. The rough idea is that you need to know what ethernet card you're using, and add it to /etc/modprobe.conf before you install.

I started out with Core 4 and it's good but I went to Centos and it's better. Faster, fewer errors and a little more stable. Plus it's supported.
