update to plesk 7.5.4

Unread post by ivan »

Hi guys,
i recently update one of my boxes using yum

Everything was perfect, no errors.

Now i read that rpms are not yet tested and it's a not safe update; am i right?

Let's suppose i was lucky with my first server; when this update will be considered safty ready?

Thanks a lot

Hi guys,

Just to confirm, is it safe to update from Plesk 7.5.3 to Plesk 7.5.4 on RH9 with a combination of ART and 4PSA application using ART's "yum update"

Will there be any issues with mysql 4.1 and old applications such as 4PSA Web Applications, etc.?

Can I update to Plesk 7.5.4 without updating mysql from 4.0?

Regards,

Ryan

I don't know about 4PSA for sure, but I believe the only thing I've seen come up as an issue with any other application (oscommerce comes to mind) is you need to set old_passwords in /etc/my.cnf. I'd consult with the 4PSA folks to double check their compatibility with mysql 4.1
