Plesk 7.5.1 Update breaks Qmail-scanner

Unread post by junkert »

Hey everyone,

Let me start off with thanks Scott for all your hard work you have put into the respoitories and all the scripts you have built. It has made many system administrators life easier.

I just recently upgraded my Redhat 9 server to Plesk 7.5.1. As soon as I did this things have been going crazy. Right now when I try to run qmail-scanner I get this error:

Configuring qmail-scanner:
syntax error at /var/qmail/bin/qmail-scanner-queue.pl line 255, near "(,"
syntax error at /var/qmail/bin/qmail-scanner-queue.pl line 263, near "(,"
BEGIN not safe after errors--compilation aborted at /var/qmail/bin/qmail-scanner-queue.pl line 396.

OK

I went through and edited out the ',' but it seems to put it back in every time i try to run it again. Any ideas what might be going on?

Thanks for your help in advance.

make sure clamav and/or spamassassin is running, then try it again. Worst case you might have to reinstall it

I have reinstalled everything I can think of that would be related to this problem and have restarteed the services multiple times :(

I have reinstalled qmail, spamassasin, and qmail-scanner

I still get that error no matter what i do. I'm wondering if its something in Plesk 7.5.1

I dont suppose you've installed any CPAN modules on that box?
