MySql 4.1x and Plesk 6.0.2

Unread post by DirtyHarry »

Hello,

I have a server that I do not use for hosting, just to publish my websites. I like Plesk 6.0.2 so I never had the need to upgrade. Plus, I cannot risk downtime because of the upgrade, and I know that the upgrade to Plesk 7 can mess things a bit.

Anyhow, I need to keep the server updated, so I need to install the latest version of MySql - will it work with Plesk 6.0.2?

The latest version you can run on 6.0 is Mysql 4.0, specifically the one I built. Versions from mysql.com will break PSA.

Hello Scott,

thanks for your reply. So I should first update Plesk, then MySql, right?

yeah, 7.5.4 is now compatible with mysql 4.1, so as long as you're running that, you should be fine
