Keeping Up To Date 'Yum Update'

I've used ART rpms to update mysql and php on my fedora core 2 server. Is it safe to run 'yum update'. I ran it and the update size was going to be 135mb's.

I said no when it asked if I wanted to proceed with the updates. The list was:

Thats a PSA package, you'll probably have to set gpgcheck=0 for the psa channel. I sign a lot of their packages for them, but there are a few that will break if I do it, and thats one of them.

What does that actually do? Once I have changed that can I just run yum update again.

It turns off checking the digital signatures on the packages. In sw-soft's case, they dont actually sign them, so its not that big of a deal really. The signatures are there to ensure the packages havent been tampered with.

The problem is none of the websites hosted on that server are loading.

I tried rebooting and restarting apache, but it still won't load the websites.

I think it's a problem with the zend optimizer.

I commented out the zend optimizer from php.ini, and everything loads (except for the sites that need zend of course).

So it's definitely zend that's causing the problem. I'm just not sure how to fix it.
