If I do a up2date --dry-run it goes through the process and shows me what could be a problem if I run it for real..

Unresolvable chain of dependencies:
psa-spamassassin-8.0.0-rhel3.build800603 requires spamassassin >= 3.0.0

Yet in the list I can see
spamassassin 2.55 3.4 i386

So should that not work??

Forget the above.. I added the art channels back in and done another dry run.. this time without any probs, so I do the upgrade and get probs.. lol

yeah but I am trying to solve my mail issues.
I can send mail but not receive all. Normal mails come through ok, but mails with attachments are not being delivered for some weird arse reason.

Don't know... At th emoment it's just what ever is installed via the plesk updater and no your spamassassin rpms.
Should I be using clamav?? how do I find out?

I cant see it listed in any rpms that need updating but if I locate it.. I get:
/var/spool/up2date/clamav-0.86.2-1.rf.rhel3.art.i386.hdr
/var/spool/up2date/clamav-db-0.86.2-1.rf.rhel3.art.i386.hdr

ok. found out that EV1 had my server running in Level 1 mode to try and find out the problems.
They told me to set it back to level 3 if I wanted to start all services.
As soon as I did that, the server kicked me out of ssh and went offline completely.
I had to get EV1 to reboot it and even after that I had to actually go into ssh and restart the basics again.
I hope they find the problem real soon. I am almost ready just to run up2date and let EVERYTHING upgrade/install and see if that might just fix what ever is causing the drama's :(

Plesk 8 and yum repo

Unread post by 2crazy »

Hi,

I'm trying to install Plesk 8 from the atomic yum repo. I'm using the app-vault, art, and psa-8.0 repos.

trying to

Code: Select all

yum install atomic-psa
results in

Code: Select all

Error: Missing Dependency: xrms is needed by package atomic-psa
Error: Missing Dependency: phpBook is needed by package atomic-psa
Error: Missing Dependency: typo is needed by package atomic-psa
Error: Missing Dependency: mod_webapp is needed by package atomic-psa
Error: Missing Dependency: phpsurveyor is needed by package atomic-psa
Error: Missing Dependency: psa-api-rpc-doc is needed by package atomic-psa
Error: Missing Dependency: phpAds is needed by package atomic-psa
Error: Missing Dependency: psa-bu is needed by package atomic-psa
Error: Missing Dependency: phpWiki is needed by package atomic-psa
Error: Missing Dependency: psa-api-rpc-protocol is needed by package atomic-psa
Error: Missing Dependency: phpMoney is needed by package atomic-psa
Error: Missing Dependency: j2sdk is needed by package atomic-psa
Error: Missing Dependency: psa-api-common is needed by package atomic-psa
Error: Missing Dependency: phpMyFamily is needed by package atomic-psa
Error: Missing Dependency: phpBB is needed by package atomic-psa
Error: Missing Dependency: psa-key is needed by package atomic-psa
Error: Missing Dependency: psa-pre-keyupdate is needed by package atomic-psa
Error: Missing Dependency: phpBugTracker is needed by package atomic-psa
Error: Missing Dependency: phpDig is needed by package atomic-psa
Error: Missing Dependency: psa-api-cli is needed by package atomic-psa
Error: Missing Dependency: j2sdk is needed by package psa-tomcat-configurator
Those packages are indeed missing. Does that mean that the psa-8.0 repo is incomplete? or am I missing a certain repo?

I already activated psa-7.5 along side psa-8.0, since it has the missing dependencies. But that didn't work either.

Thanks
scott

Thanks for the reply! I got another problem though, I'm still trying to install Plesk8 from the repo, and the only problem left seems to be j2sdk

yum wouldn't install it, so I tried it manually

Code: Select all

# rpm -ivh j2sdk-1_4_2-linux-i586.rpm
error: j2sdk-1_4_2-linux-i586.rpm: rpmReadSignature failed: region trailer: BAD, tag 61 type 7 offset 48 count 16
error: j2sdk-1_4_2-linux-i586.rpm cannot be installed
the other packages work fine. Can I use the packages from Sun instead?

Thanks
scott
