FC2, PHP 5.0.4, and ART

Unread post by sYn pHrEAk »

The page about upgrading to PHP 5.0.4 says that for FC2 I should remove php-domxml.

Do I have to do this BEFORE I upgrade everything else? If so, how can I do it, without removing its dependents? There are a few psa packages yum wants to remove.

Or is it ok to remove them and then reinstall them when upgrading everything else?

Or is it ok to upgrade first and then remove php-domxml? I assume then it will not have any dependents?

Maybe all of these are viable options, but as I'm still new to Linux in general, I'm being extra cautious.

Thanks for any help!

Awesome. That worked great!

I just wasn't sure if the other packages would get added back automatically if I let it remove them.

Thanks for everything scott! I <3 ART!
