AAOI Issues (1and1)

Unread post by kwebdesign »

I'm trying to use the AAOI to install CentOS on a 1and1 box, but the bittorrent client that automatically downloads doesn't seem to work. I get the following error:
These errors occurred during execution:
[19:13:47] Aborting the torrent as it was rejected by the tracker while not connected to any peers. Message from the tracker: Requested download is not authorized for use with this tracker.
I'm not sure what to do to fix this, as I'm not very familiar with bittorrent.

I may have figured it out. I modified the script to grab the 4.4 image instead of 4.3 (not sure why that was a problem).

I'll post an update on my progress...

I don't think it was the image after all - I think it was a port issue (I had an external firewall blocking bittorrent traffic). However, there wasn't a torrent file for the 4.4 server CD, so I just manually downloaded it and then modified the script to skip that part.

The other problem that I ran into is the lilo commands at the end of the script did not get executed for some reason. I had to execute them manually before rebooting to get it to boot to the CD installer.

The install is running now.
