PSA Components

Unread post by kwebdesign »

I (somewhat) sucessfully migrated my server to CentOS 4.4 last night, but I'm having some strange issues. One of them is that the various components (backup manager, etc.) won't update properly.

When I go to the updater, I see the following:

Code: Select all

Mailman mailing list manager support	Sept 10, 2006	June 9, 2006	You have an up to date version
Plesk API [former Plesk Agent]	June 13, 2006	Sept 4, 2006	You have an up to date version
Plesk Backup Manager	June 13, 2006	Sept 4, 2006	You have an up to date version
Plesk migration manager	June 13, 2006	Sept 4, 2006	You have an up to date version
I know that's hard to read in the forum, but basically what it says is that for several components, the version I have is dated June 13, and the latest version available is September 4, but for some reason it says I have an up to date version and the upgrade checkbox is disabled. In one case (Mailman) it actually says I have a version that is newer than the latest one available.

Anyone know how to resolve this? The specific feature that I'm missing that I'm trying to get back is the ability to backup clients / domains to a FTP location. That option is not available in the Backup Manager that I have installed, but I can't figure out how to update it.

I think I have it fixed. I had to install the latest RPMs manually, and force them to install, because for some reason, it thinks the newer versions are older than the currently installed versions (which isn't true). I'm not sure why that is the case, but forcing a manual install seems to have worked.

It still says my mailman component is newer than the latest version available, but I guess that's not so bad.

Scott -

When you get back from your trip, can you take a look at your psa-8.0 repository? For some reason, yum is telling me that the following four components in your repository are newer than those I have installed, but the build numbers say otherwise:

psa-api.noarch
psa-api-rpc.noarch
psa-backup-manager.i586
psa-migration-manager.i586

I'm not intimately familiar with how yum works, so I'm not totally sure how it determines what packages are more recent, but I suspect that some dates or build numbers are set wrong somewhere.

Or am I the only one having this problem (I have it on two different CentOS 4.4 boxes)?

Bump (to make sure Scott notices the above request).
