Yeah I didnt finish up the grub loader code. You may still be using LILO on your system, I think when you last ran it I hadnt gotten generic non-1and1 lilo detection in there.

Try running it again to see if it detects your boot loader correctly, or if you have it send me the contents of /tmp/disk.out

Hi Scott. I tried again with the link of grub AOOI script on your site and i had same message (with before the fact that "initrd.img.1" was downloaded). What do i have to do now?
When i reboot, i cannot ssh log in root with the new password given... So i log in with old password and run grub. But when I type savedefault --default=X --once

I get:

Error 23: Error while parsing number

Could you help?

X = the number of the kernel youre using. Not the letter X. IE, it might be 0, 1, 2, 3, etc.

I would stick to the aooi script, thats the newer version of the grub one.

ok. my kernel is : 2.6.18.1-xxxx-grs-ipv4-32
So i typed : savedefault --default=2 --once
But i got this error : Error 15: File not found

Any help would be much appreciated!

PS: i still cannot log in with root and atomic temp password...
