How do I update asl?

How do I update asl?

I just installed ASL a few days ago and it says that there are available updates but how do I update it?

To update the ASL components you just run yum update like you always do (right?). For the ASL rulesets you can run asl --update (or asl -u if you like shorthand). Type 'asl --help' for the complete list of options.

And there's always support@atomicorp.com.

You also need to make sure you switched over to the new ASL-2.0 repos.

Make sure your pointed to the new repo:

http://www.atomicorp.com/channels/asl-2.0/xxxxxx

the xxxxxx is then your OS version.

So for fedora its:

atomicorp.com/channels/asl-2.0/fedora/$releasever/$basearch

Also double check where your pulling your rules from its now:

www.atomicorp.com/channels/asl-2.0/rules/

NOT

www.atomicorp.com/channels/asl-bleeding/rules/

asl-bleeding is now just a link to asl-2.0. So no need to do anything extra. We'll have something automatically adjust the asl.repo file as the 2.0 testing and bleeding channels become more active.
