ASL 2.0, newbie question

Unread post by cameleon »

Hello,- i am bit newbie sorry, got some questions if you could tell me.....

I paid for hardering my server. Apf+BDF+Security_mod+dangerous functions in php disabled+correct folder permissions, logwatch, binary hardering, host+named hardering, mysql+php tuning - installation of eaccelerator, rkhunter, lsm, mod_dosevasive, greylisting solution, redtube panel. Last 2 was done by me :)

This was done on my server and now as i understand ASL would do some of that for me - but now since hardering was done i have a question.

If i decide to get ASL will i have to uninstall and back to normall all stuff that above was done?, will ASL install correcly?, or will i have to hire someone from asl ?, newbie questions but i am not so familiar with such packages

I got Centos 5 with plesk 8.6......

Regards Kamil

It would depend on how it was done really, so I cant really say for sure. If everything was done through RPM package updates, then it would be a standard update. Support can certainly help, but it would probably be faster if you just got back to a clean install.
