bayes_seen at 650 MB !

Hello.

I have been having a huge load issue on two Gamera-boxes lately and began to dig around. What I found was that bayes_seen had a size of 665MB. Is that anyhow normal?

I backuped up the bayes dir and resat the bays to ZERO. The load was heavely reduced at once and we still get a SPAM-detection (score over 7 get deleted) at over 97% with updated SA and SARE rules. I belive the scanning time has gone from an average of 16 sec down to 2 sec.

Is the SA bayes overrated?

It does clean itself out based on some internal variables (90 day FIFO I think), but yeah its actually one of the most powerful parts of spamassassin.
