Then later during a late night email check I couldn't connect to mail or any websites on the server, couldn't connect via SSH either, or startup the Plesk control panel. So rebooted the server and it came up.
Looking at the log files in /var/log/ I find that the following logs all are now dated 2/23/2006.
dmesg - acpid - denyhosts - mysqld.log - btmp - lastlog - wtmp - secure
and inside the /var/log/httpd/ folder the error and ssl_error_log files are also now dated 2/23/2006
This is true of log files inside the statistics/logs for each domain as well.
Here are the last 25 lines of /var/log/httpd/error_log

What happened? I'd like to understand what went wrong, it seems like every time I do a general Yum Update instead of a specific package I have trouble.
Thanks for any pointers,
Damon
