Are the official MySQL 4/5 rpms safe?

Unread post by acidbox »

I run RHEL3. On the MySQL download page they have official Red Hat RPMS for RHEL3 for both 4.1 and 5.0. Are these safe to use?

Later,

Plesk 7.5.4 RHEL3

Those are official MySQL rpms, rather than official Red Hat rpms. The design is different, but not incompatible with a redhat or fedora box. The 5.0 packages are not however compatible with PSA. The MySQL 4.0 and 4.1 rpms are also not compatible with PSA 7.1 and older.
