PHP 4.4.2-3.rh90.art Zend Optimizer ?

Hello,

I am tryingt o install ZendOptimer 2.6.2 on PLESK 7.5.4
HTTPD = 2.0.40-21.12.highfd & PHP 4.4.2-3.rh90.art

Each time I install zendOptimizer httpd dies and i have to go back edit the /etc/php.ini comment out the [ZEND] portion and everything start again.

I have tried a number of posts that suggest to edit the /etc/php.d/ioncube-loader.ini by commenting out the line as follows
;zend_extension=/usr/lib/php4/php_ioncube_loader_lin_4.4.so

However this does not help at all. ZendEncoded Files DO NOT load.

I have tried alternate version from 2.5.5 - 2.5.5 - 2.62 of Zend Optimzer without any luck.

Please can someone help shed some light on this topic?

As I recall, there is some kind of bug with ioncube on rh9 and/or with php 4.4.2. I ended up going with php 5.0 on my rh9 boxes because of it.
